Taking your toddler to the beach is incredibly fun and create fantastic lifelong memories but it can also be a nightmare if you are not prepared. There are six things that I recommend you pack to make your child’s first trip the ocean as memorable as possible.

Sunscreen- Definitely pack sunscreen for your child and lots of it. I suggest you use a minimum of SPF 50 and get the spray on sunscreen for it is much easier to chase your little one and spray it on them than it is to rub it in while they run towards the water. If you can apply it while you are still in your accommodations it will have time to soak into their skin.

Watching your toddler fall over and over again when trying to walk will break your heart. You want to protect your child from all harm, but you want him or her to walk too. What if your child is over 12 months and not walking yet? Walking is such a big milestone in a child’s life we tend to stress over when it will happen and how.  Teaching your child to walk seems like a difficult task, but based on the number of children and adults walking, it’s clearly doable.

Blankets; both small and large are essential part of the kid’s bedding set. Such blankets could be store bought or home made. However, one thing remains certain. Unless the blanket is large enough to cover a toddler it may not serve any purposes.

Covering the Toddler

One of the problems that most toddlers face is that consequent upon their growth, the blanket does not grow simultaneously. It is necessary that the blankets cover the patient well to make it an all covering affair. Blankets that won’t cover the entire body of the toddler will be of little use. A problem in this regard is that many children are highly attached to their baby blanket and they do not like to part with them. At the same time the blanket is small enough and not able to cover their body and does not give sufficient warmth.

Learning through play for younger children is the best way to educate them. Toddler games can go a long way to achieve this. The beauty of teaching younger children is that the teacher is able to combine both fun and education. Children have the ability to be bored easily, however; if these three qualities are considered when purchasing or making toddler games, the boredom maybe avoided.
