Breast to Bottle – Weaning From Breastfeeding

Posted by admin on November 30th, 2011

The level of difficulty of weaning from breastfeeding to bottle sometimes depends on the age of the baby. Some experts say that if you are to wean from breastfeeding a 9-month old child or older, he should be weaned from breast to cup already. If the baby is less than 9 months, wean from breast to bottle first; the cup will come later.

A child will eventually self-wean, especially if he sees and uses his senses to see, feel, smell and eventually taste solid foods. So it is much better for a mother to wait for that time. Weaning when the child is ready to wean – that would be much easier with no baby tantrums, hence, no stress for both parties.

When it comes to your family there is nothing more important than safety. Driving is one of the most dangerous modes of transportation and it is crucial to parents that the most advanced safety features are available. Vehicles come with many different features that are designed to keep children and parents safe and that are easy to use. The first and most popular safety devices are airbags. All airbags are not made equally and it is important that you are aware of the differences between them when shopping for a new vehicle. Dual front airbags protect the dash of the car and can keep passengers from going through the windshield; however, due to the velocity at which they deploy they can be extremely dangerous for younger children. For this reason, kids should always ride in the back seat. Side-impact airbags, which protect passengers from hitting the doors and windows, may come out of the sides of the seats or the door panels, among other places.
